Theatron
Design Kaisa Luukkanen
Theatron is an all-purpose chair for lounges, conference rooms and
visitors. The versatile chair with high arms enables casual, easychair
seating. During the design process, emphasis on a clear, discreet and
functional form was important as well as on the economic and durable
construction. This is obtained by producing both the arms and the seat
part from one single pressed veneer piece using a two-way pressing
method. |

DaCapo
Design Yrjö Wiherheimo
DaCapo – from the beginning as the music term goes.
Again, evaluation of applicability, ergonomics, comfort, serial thinking,
construction, production orientation, appearance, durability,
transportation, packing and costs. From the beginning – once again.
Concentration on the essentials, deleting the unnecessary. Achieving the
eternal beauty of the small chair. DaCapo – a light small chair. |

Wallu
Design Yrjö Wiherheimo
Wallu is a study of composition of basic elements, the first image and
the reality of the finished product, hard and soft, abundant and scarce,
thin and thick, unkind and friendly, colour and colourless , systematic
and random, matter and essence, big and small. Wallu is an easychair,
Wallu is a sofa. Wallu is a twohundred pound light fairy. |

VIVERO awarded the ”INTERIOR PHENOMENON 2007”
Honorary Prize
By Interior Designers SI. |

“A strong sign of our time is the phenomenon of the designer driven
company Vivero. For decades Vivero has predicted the future by
developing its production processes and its innovative image. Vivero
has the abitility to incorporate the creative work of designers into
the business activity. The most recent update of this philosophy is
the start-up and support of a new prototype workshop for young
designers. The Vivero furniture collection is also worth a honorary.
It represents a clean and modern design including comprehensive and
continuous furniture. The Vivero contract furniture is characterized
by exceptional humour and material combinations; the designs also
suit modern private homes.” |

”As a designer, I observe the world through shapes, forms, dimensions
and colours. Selfexpression in addition to the visual and experienced
environment have always been important to me and
my design work is connected to these matters.
I aim at a controlled and functional wholeness and poetical form. I
would like to create
intellectual objects though delicacy of forms. However, my starting
point is that an object
should be an article of necessity. There should also be a possibility
that objects would
contribute to a better world, for example towards a more ecological and
comfortable
world. I am inspired by various cultural phenomenons and technical
developments and
often also by beautiful, significant words with good linguistic instinct
like ”earthair”
(i.e. ”maailma”, the Finnish word for ”world”) and ”morning twilight” or
”dawn”.” |
